After the derby win v. Espanyol, Villareal was the next hurdle as Xavi again arrived home with a new win, this time away. 3-1 v. Villareal is a grand result and it looks as if the Barca team is on a good path.
Xavi played his usual 4-3-3 system and of course with Pique and Busquets in there in the heart of defense and midfield you are secured in the best way possible.
Barca took the lead from a Frenkie de Jong goal with Villareal equalizing a bit later then to secure the win with two late goals from Depay and Coutinho made it all a happy evening for Xavi.
To leave it as late as Barca did might not be the ideal way to go forward, but again winning away and starting with two wins in two games in La Liga is a of course great. The CL adventure looks a bit more difficult ending the last game v. Benfica in a 0-0 draw.
Barcelona are currently 7th in La Liga with a gap of 7 points to the top but as we all know that could be closed with a certain Xavi in charge, hopefully getting the team in the best shape possible going into January.
Next up for Barca are Real Betis at home on the 4th of December. Exciting times as the restructure takes place and hopefully turning fortunes heavily aroundEmbed from Getty Images
Looking forward to new games as the season progress.
